About the role

You'll operate as a senior technical leader across teams: setting architectural direction, untangling the hardest design problems, and raising the engineering bar through reviews, standards, and mentorship. You'll still write code, often the riskiest or most foundational pieces, and you'll prototype approaches before teams commit. You'll partner with engineering managers on technical strategy, spot cross-team risks early, and make sure big initiatives land coherently rather than as disconnected parts.

What you will bring

You bring a deep engineering track record, influence that comes from credibility rather than title, and the judgment to know which problems deserve elegance and which deserve a quick fix. You communicate designs clearly in writing and can bring skeptical engineers along without steamrolling them.
